The Sandpiper Restaurant: A Coastal Delight in East Haven, CT

Had a great time at Samdpiper and the server Lisa B was AMAZING! You gotta try the lobster rolls, which are super fresh and it comes with a huge load of fries. Everyone is warm and attentive. If you happen to be in this area and want to try out lober rolls, this is the place to come!

I was a late sit-in but Lisa M reassured me that there was no rush and I could take me time. She was really nice and made me feel welcomed. The food was good. The lobster bisque had some big chunk of lobster in it. The lobster roll was packed with lobster meat and the lobster tails were fresh.

We rented an Airbnb nearby here. We picked this place for lunch during a stormy day. Best choice ever! Very quiet and cozy with a great ocean view during our trip. Lisa B. gave us one the best service we ever had. The food was great (Philly ch steak sub, calamari, chowder, and chic + broc pizza). Definitely recommend coming here.

I came here to enjoy some seafood. So I came on my birthday on Monday. First thing is just how friendly our waiter was. She’s so energetic and happy to see a new face. The atmosphere of the indoor dining area matches what they served us. And this place was a nice gemstone to enjoy. The atmosphere is so quiet and serene at lunchtime. The food was absolutely delicious and I only regret not eating more of it. The seafood was scrumptious. The oysters I had were good and clean. I would definitely come back here again to curb my seafood appetite.

Lisa was exceptional, she made me and my husband feel warm and welcomed. We will definitely be going back, especially when the weather gets warm.

I went for dinner and I had the best experience!! If you’re having a seafood craving in the winter time this is the place to go. Lisa M was our server and she could not have been better. She was so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She was also very friendly and I will definitely return for her to wait on me again! The lobster Mac and cheese was phenomenal, one of the best I’ve had in a bit. They also had chowder in a bread bowl which is new and was 10/10. Overall an absolutely amazing experience!

Whole belly clams were fresh and perfectly cooked! Lobster roll was amazing. Lisa M was a great server - on top of everything we needed.

I got a special lobster fettuccine pasta after Valentine's weekend and it was good. It came with a great parmesan salad (not pictured since it came out a little later) and I was stuffed. It wasn't the most amazing pasta dish though, and I wish the lobster flavor or cheese or richness was bigger since it was pretty mild or lacking in flavor. I'm happy with the lobster ratio & amount though, it wasn't just thrown on the top, but actually mixed into the pasta itself evenly. Husband got the fish a chips, which were also quite good, but not anything crazy to write home about. Crispy + the fries were really good and salted just right. The rest of the family got chicken sandwiches and seafood and penne pasta with a pork cutlet (if I recall right) and they were all happy and full too. There was 1 lady doing everything (Lisa I think?): running food, taking orders and waiting, making drinks, etc. and she was amazing and remembered everything and gave us great attention despite a good amount of other tables/customers. The food came out in good time and temperature too. I'd maybe come back now and then to try some other menu items, or get a convenient seafood fix since we live close, but it wasn't too crazy good to write home about. Hence 4/5. But still good and worth bringing family to if you want to get out of the house. NOTE: you can barely open the front doors since they redid the parking lot, and now the ground is too high up that the door gets snagged/stuck.
